A message from Commissioner Rogan:

As you may know, in January 2013, I was once again elected by my colleagues to serve as President of the Board of Commissioners.
In renewing their confidence in my leadership, my colleagues cited my background and experience, and my ability to work effectively with them and the general public to achieve positive outcomes. I am proud to be the first Democratic woman in our township’s 115-year history to so serve and to be serving in my 3rd term as President.

As President, it is my job to set the Board’s agenda and make sure the township runs in a cost effective and efficient manner. It is my ultimate goal and mission to protect the character and qualities of the township we treasure while maintaining our long-standing tradition of award winning financial management and fiscal discipline.

Liz Rogan’s work and vision is turning Lower Merion Township into “a community where one can spend a life time.” With Liz’s background in planning, including her knowledge of how local government works and the contacts she has developed over the years, I can think of nobody in a better position to prepare us for the future and deal with the issues we may face.
              Tom Burke, Ward 7 Constituent

Lower Merion didn’t get to be a great place to live by accident, and it will take focus, perseverance and a lot of hard work to make sure it stays a wonderful place for years and decades to come. One of the keys to success will be for you to be actively engaged in township affairs, helping the Board make the right decisions and map our course going forward.

Based on feedback from constituents across Ward 7, I believe I have served effectively as your representative on the Board of Commissioners, and I am honored that friends and neighbors throughout our neighborhood re-elected me in 2007 and 2011.

I am pleased to be endorsed for re-election by both the Sierra Club and the Democratic Committee of Lower Merion and Narberth (the Party) and proud to be the Party's nominee for the November 3rd General Election.

I look forward to meeting with voters throughout Ward 7 between now and Election Day, and after as well, to hear and discuss your priorities for our Township. I always encouraged community members to share their insights and experiences with me, and work hard to keep you, my constituents, well informed. So, as always, please feel free to contact me by email or phone at 610.649.6931.

In closing, I ask that you demonstrate your support on Tuesday, November 3rd and permit me to continue serving you and our neighborhood. I will continue working each and every day to make sure Lower Merion stays a truly First Class Township, a great place to live, work and raise a family, now and for the generations that will follow.
